Downsize Large PDF Files
Ever have problems with a PDF file that is too large to e-mail? One quick way to downsize unruly PDF files is to use OS X’s built-in Colorsync Utility (found in Applications/Utilities).

Just open the Colorsync Utility and then File/Open the file you’d like to tame.

In the file’s dialog box click on the New button below the filters list.

Create a new filter and rename it.

Next click on the Color menu and select Images from the pull down menu.

In the second menu select Compression. Then use the slider at the bottom to downsize the file.

A File/Save As will allow you to rename your smaller PDF and you’re ready to attach and mail.
