New
eMac is even more attractive
One often overlooked Apple product is the affordably
priced eMac. Sporting a G4 processor since its
introduction two years ago, this all-in-one was
originally available to education customers only.
Now, it’s the most affordable machine offered
by Apple, with its $799 starting price tag.
This
month the eMac got even better. Now the G4 has
a faster 1.25 GHz processor under the hood. And
at $999, the souped-up model, with its SuperDrive,
makes an excellent choice for burning your home
movies to DVD. Either option features a 17-inch
flat CRT display, ATI Radeon graphics card, and
AirPort Extreme capability. Its speed and functionality
makes it an excellent machine for a student (or
as an addition to your existing Macintosh network).
